She talks about her educational pathway and how she began to explore her options as a high school student to make informed decisions for her future. From considering university, to staying in high school an extra year to take SHSM courses to finally deciding on college, Mavis leans on her own experience to offer help to students who are figuring out their own educational pathway.
Mavis has lived and breathed Niagara College for the past 7 years;
completing an advanced diploma in broadcasting: film production and a
complementing diploma in business administration: marketing. These
studies have enabled her to practice her strategic planning and
interpersonal skills through client projects, extra curricular activities and
now the workplace. Since graduating she was hired at Niagara College as
a Recruitment Production Coordinator where she gets to play a part in big
events, sponsorships and tradeshows. She gets to blend her creative skillset
with her strategic mind and see her idea’s come to life.
